it all started…

…when our founder learned the sushi trade from the masters at Tenmaya in Vienna (today's SHIKI). Soon he discovered his passion for creating moments of big enjoyment with little pieces of fresh fish.

equipped with this passion…

…and little more than a sharp knife, his wife Bifen and him opened the gates to their own restaurant NAGANO in 1998 along with 4 employees.

ever since…

…our restaurant has gone through a few changes but the philosophy of the founding couple remains unseparably connected to the name NAGANO: you don’t always have to prepare fancy and complex pieces of art, just good food from fresh ingredients. And today, just as it was more than 20 years ago, the best ingredients and a passion for good taste remain the foundation of what we are doing.
